Right Now

Published on February 28, 2008

It's not like you haven't been listening to Van Halen every single day for the past couple of months. In fact, chances are, if you turn on any footage from a campaign rally, you're going to get a big dose of Eddie and Co. belting out of someone's speakers be them Democrat or Republican. Take Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama, for instance. The two Democratic candidates just came through Big D working up the votes for the big March 4 primary vote/caucus. What did we hear at Obama's Reunion Arena event? "Right Now." (Sure, it's Van Hagar, technically, but go with it.) At Hillary's? Well, she said the words "right now" so we'll count that too. At any rate, you can check out the close-to original line-up (Eddie's kid Wolfgang is bassin' it up) rocking "Hot for Teacher" and "Panama" (aka, their non-political fare) this Tuesday at the AAC. Check out ticketmaster.com for the ducats.
